Miles still amazes me everyday. We bought him a new toy for Valentines Day. He loves it. It is a giraffe that has a hole in the top and holes for the legs and arms. You put balls in the holes. The other night I had it out for him. Between putting the balls in his mouth and trying to eat the giraffe he would put the balls in the top of the giraffe. At first he would not let go, but after a while he would let go some so the ball would go through the hole. It was so amazing to watch.
He also has this toy that Aunt Kathy got him. He LOVES this toy. It is a zoo that has animals that go around when you push the button. The other night he was playing with it and I heard the music go off. I went in to look and he was smiling really big laughing as the animals went around. When it stopped he pushed the red button again so it would the animals would go around again!
He still loves to eat. He will not eat green beans at all. I took some to Sarah's and he batted his hand at them. He loves his cereal. He gets cereal for breakfast, fruit and vegetable for lunch and fruit, vegetable and cereal for dinner. We tried bananas and he really liked them. This was the first jar food he ate the full jar of the first time he ate it. Hopefully he will like green vegetables when he starts real food. We will probably start that when he is almost 10 months (which is not too long away). He will be 8 months next week. How time flies.
Today the weather was so nice that we took him outside in his jumper-roo. It was funny to see him observing the world around him. When he would hear a bird he would stop jumping and look around to see where the noise was coming from. He is such a serious guy when he is in a new surrounding. He just soaks it all up.
Hope everybody has a wonderful rest of the week and enjoy their weekend!

We have had another busy week. We went out of town on Friday and came home on Sunday. Miles did so well. He is such a happy baby and doesn't seem to mind when we take him anywhere. When we got home he smiled really big and started to laugh. He then gave me three kisses. It was like he was saying, "Mom, I had fun but I am so glad to be home."
He is still rocking on his knees and rolling everywhere. Hope everybody had a great week and weekend.
The picture was taken today by Sarah. It was such a nice surprise to get an email of pictures of Miles.

Nothing New
Well this has already been a crazy week. Yesterday I had to work in Springfield. I took Miles over to a friends house (so I wouldn't have to drive to Aurora and then to Springfield). I think he had a rough time. He was out of routine and didn't know her very well and it just wasn't Sarah. He loves going to Sarah's. When I drop him off he smiles really big and gives her hugs and kisses. He has such a good time when he is there. It is so nice to not really worry about him through out the day.
We tried oatmeal, pears and applesauce. He loves the oatmeal and applesauce. Pears took him a little time to get used to, but he likes them. He ate the whole jar of applesauce the first time I gave it to him. He really likes all of the veggies except for peas (Sarah did get him to eat peas today). It is funny that sometimes they won't do something for you but they will for somebody else.
He is still rolling everywhere and pushing himself backwards. Miles is getting up on his knees and rocking a lot as well. I don't know how long it will be until he starts to crawl, but I am kind of sad. They grow up too fast.
Hope everybody had a great weekend and a great week!

Rocking
Miles is still all over the place. He is exploring every inch of our living room. Tonight he was in front of the entertainment center and less than a minute later we looked in and he was under the swing. He is also getting up on his knees and rocking back and forth. Most of the time we put him up on his knees, but sometimes he does it on his own. I guess the days are long gone when we didn't have to worry about him getting into anything.
We are still trying new jar foods. He likes everything he has tried except peas. He is funny the first three days he gets the new food he doesn't care for it, but after a couple days not having it he will eat it. Maybe he will do that with the peas. We get to try pears tomorrow. This is his first fruit. Hopefully he will like them.
Today when I left him at Sarah's he waved bye bye to me. It was so sweet. He was sitting on the floor and I said bye bye Miles for like the 5th time (because I have to say bye to him like 20 times before I leave) and he looked at me and smiled really big and waved. It really made my day.
I don't know if I have mentioned this before but Miles loves his baths. He loves them so much that the other night he was a little fussy, as soon as I put him in the bath he started smiling and flapping his arms and legs. When I stand him up to wash his bottom all he wants to do his jump, I have to have Jonathon come in and hold him up so I can wash his little bottom. He is so wild in their. I think I get almost as wet as he does with all the splashing he does.
I hope everybody had a wonderful week.

Another Month

Today Miles is 7 months. How time flies. He is rolling EVERYWHERE, sitting up and eating A LOT. Tonight he was on one side of the living room and I left for less than a minute and he was on the other side. He just looked at me really big and smiled when I walked into the room. He was like see what I did Mom. That smile melts my heart.
I have posted a few pictures of him on his 7 month. Hope everybody has had a great start to their week!

So it is back to reality for us. Miles and I got to stay home on Friday while Jonathon had to work (hehe). We really enjoyed our day. We went shopping. He loves going in public. He loves to watch the people.
Having off has really made us want Summer. We are both so lucky to have the summer off together. That is truly one of the perks of being a teacher.
Miles is still rolling everywhere. We have started putting him on his knees and he will rock back and forth. When he is rocking he looks at the floor and then up at us and smiles really big. He is even trying to bring his legs under him. We are ready for this step, but not ready.
Hope everybody had a wonderful weekend!
