Looooonnnnnnnnnggggg Week!

This week has been so long! We have been so busy. Miles has enjoyed it, he got to spend time with both grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa (Jonathon's parents) picked Miles up from the sitter on Tuesday. I had to work at McDonald's for McTeachers night and Jonathon had football practice. Miles had a lot of fun and was sad to see them go. Friday Papaw watched Miles. Our sitters son is sick and he watched Miles for us. Miles loves spending time with his grandparents and we are so fortunate to have them living in town. They will always do what they can to help us out. Our life would be so much harder with out their help.
Miles is still amazing us everyday. We absolutely adore him and are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby!

Weekend Fun!

We have had such a wonderful low key weekend. Saturday we did not do much at all. Sunday we went to the park and had a picnic. Miles loved playing on the equipment. He is such a dare devil. He does not like the swings so much but really enjoys the slide. They also had a tube he could crawl through and he really enjoyed that. There were some older boys there and he LOVES playing with other children. He really enjoys children that are older than him.
Miles has 3 teeth (finally). He is working on his 4th. He has not been too crabby with his teeth coming in, but it has caused him to have 2 ear infections in the past month. He is such a little trooper with his teeth and ear infections.
We can't believe he will be 15 months on Friday. I never really believed how much time flies, but it does. We enjoy every minute of watching him grow and learn. His vocabulary grows each day. Last night I asked him if he was ready for a bath. He got up and ran to the bathroom and started saying "bath, bath." It still amazes me how he is truly like a little sponge. When we ask if he is ready to go night night he runs to his door. He is such a sweet loving boy.

Too Long!

Well I just want to start off saying sorry for not posting in so long. You would think with us having the summer off I would be able to post more. I guess that was not the case. We had a wonderful summer! We did many things like go swimming, go to the park and celebrated his birthday! What a wonderful day that was.
Miles is doing wonderful. He is walking and talking A LOT. He says dada, momma, hi, dog, more, thank you, please and cracker. He also has a little attitude. Jonathon thinks it is because he is spoiled.
We have started back to school and it has been very BUSY! Hopefully things will slow down soon. I promise I will post more and put some pictures up. Again, sorry for not posting in such a long time.

We have been so busy the past month. The end of the school year is a very hectic time for teachers. We have so much to do and so little time to do it. Well it is finally over (for me). Miles and I get to stay home for the next week and a half by ourselves. I am so excited. It will be even more exciting when Jonathon gets to stay home with us. That is one of the best things about both of us teaching.
Miles is growing more and more each day. Last time I took him to the Dr. he weighed 19.5 lbs. He is crawling (normally) everywhere. He also is pulling up onto everything and cruising around it (slowly). We have seen a lot of bruises on him from falling down so much. I am really surprised how he will try anything.
We have tried a lot of table food. He is kind of picky. He likes yogurt, graham crackers, cheerios and crackers. He kind of likes cheese. We did try string cheese tonight and he seemed to enjoy it. It will be so nice when he can just eat what we are having. He still really likes his jar food, but wants to be able to hold the spoon.
Everybody told me how fast time would fly by and boy were they right. I can't believe that in less than a month and a half he will be 1. That is very exciting, but very sad. Hope everybody had a wonderful long weekend and I will try and post more this week, along with some pictures.

We have had a long week. Monday night Miles was up every 20 to 40 minutes screaming. This is not like him at all. He sleeps all night and the earliest he wakes up is 5, but it is usually 6 or later. Jonathon and I took shifts, it was miserable for everybody. Bless his heart we knew he didn't feel well at all. I decided to take him to the Dr. I took my last half day (I do have to say I am very thankful Jonathon has 40+ days and is more than willing to stay home with Miles). The Dr said he had a double ear infection. She said we were very lucky because we caught it very very early. Um, we did not want another night like the one before and we did not have one.
Jonathon stayed home with him on Wednesday and he was fine. Antibiotics work so fast!
Miles is still army crawling and is into EVERYTHING. He has started pulling up to his knees. He tries very hard to get to his feet, but still too wobbly. He will be there soon. I was giving him his antibiotics tonight and he crawled (normally) to me. He was pretty proud of himself. When I tried to get him to do it again, he was back to the army crawling.
Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!

9 Month Check-Up

Miles went to the Dr today for his 9 month check-up. I can't believe he is 9 months. WOW how time flies. He weighs 18.4 pounds, up from 16.15 at his 6 month. He is 28 inches long, up from 27 at his 6 months. He is in the 10-25% for his weight and 25-50% for his height.
The Dr. said everything looked great! He was very good while we waited and was not afraid of the Dr. at all. He was surprised that he was not going through stranger anxiety. He really is not afraid of anybody. The only time he really cares if we are not around is when he is tired. The Dr. also said his gums don't look too swollen, so no teething. He probably just has a cold. He said that his teeth could come in tomorrow, but that was probably not likely. Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!
